The group was fortunate to be able to socialise and celebrate V.E. Day over the 4 days, 8th-11th May, at former RAF Binbrook by kind permission of the landowner. A number of members camped on site, enjoying the peace and quiet, with a very enjoyable BBQ on V.E. Day itself. We also did some radio, operating on HF (mostly 40m SSB) and VHF 2m, and were delighted to talk to some other stations also celebrating the 80th anniversary of V.E. Day.

57 contacts were made using the special event call GB1BK, mostly on 40m SSB, and a further 35 on 2m FM using the club call M0VBK, which was used for the first time by Chris, 2E0BMA. All 92 contacts have now been acknowledged on QRZ.com and eqsl.cc.
